Does anyone have any experience with Cantillon Quintessence? I saw it on their site, but it doesn't provide much color as to how it actually works. Are you only in the brewery for 30 minutes? Is there any available for sale? So many questions...
The brewery : Dear friends, We have received several questions regarding the Quintessence schedule. We accept a maximum of 60 persons per 1/2 hour to fluidify the arrivals and departures at the brewery. There is not deadline for the visit-tasting. The bar will be open for the ones who will want a last glass. Moreover, the Moeder Lambic will organiser a Cantillon After. They will present on draught Cantillon beers that will not be available during the event as : Mamouche, Zwanze 2013, Iris Grand Cru and Lou Pépé Kriek for a vertical tasting of 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011 vintages. I saw that on the site, and I did not totally understand. Does that mean they're staggering arrivals, but you can stay as long as you'd like? I guess I have trouble imaging being able to taste even a small portion of the beers listed as part of the event in a half hour. Are there bottles available for purchase, or is it draught only?
The year that I went, I could take my time walking through the brewery and tasting. You should keep in mind that these are tasting glasses, not full pours.
I've booked 4 places but my receipt says nothing about the names registered or the time that I put in for. I can follow up with Cantillon but if anyone has the missing piece to the puzzle (like will I get another email or something), let the world know. And I will chill out. Thank you kindly.
Got the email confirming details -- it just got caught in spam. Consider me chilled. I do need to work out how to amend -- unless they don't really check names at the door for all people on a reservation?
