Good timing on this thread. I'll in Providence on Saturday staying at the Omni. The reviews for both look decent, are they pretty equal in quality? I'll be with a large party, probably 10 people or more. Are both okay choices for this large of a party?

Sounds like Nikki's is the best bottle shop in town as well. Your thoughts?

Nikkis, B&C, Bottles, ENO, and High Spirits are the top five IMO

In my opinion Nikki's is absolutely the best bottle shop in town.

In town, I'd say Bottles is the best, but B&C is great, it's just 10 mins out of the city.

Whoops! I was thinking Union Station and Trinity, forgot to type.

Union station is nOthin to write home about. Trinity is all right, sometimes there's some interesting beers. Sean typically hops th shit out of his beers but it's kind of a cool spot.

Thanks - what about for a larger party? Will either location be problematic?

Both places should be fine. Trinity get packed late at though, so maybe call in advance.

If you are comming from the city Niki's is much closer than B&C and has a better selection.

If youre going with mostly adults I would suggest calling up rogue and checking them out www.rogueislandgroup.com for downtown food and beers, disclaimer I'm friends with the owner so its a bit of a plug but their food shouldnt be missed and if youre looking for local beers they have a pretty good selection on draft and bottle and their food is amazingly good. Their food would probably be tough for kids though since its kinda 'fancy' type stuff.

When I looked at the bee list, their beers were a bit pricey for the area and what thy were though.

yeah, they are kinda expensive. I have no say in what they charge, I just suggest them because they have a decent selection and good food. I also have no idea what prices are usually around the financial district because I dont go around there much.

Didn't mean it to sound defensive, sorry bout that. I just compared it to prices at doherty's, around 2$ more for the beers they have in pawt..I'll have to talk with them next time im in, I hope you enjoy it when you go.

No I didn't take it offensive, I actually thought I might have come off sounding rude.
