This has always been a good beer, but it seems much much better this year. I know RA changed up some of their recipes, I'm guessing they changed this one as well?
I had it at a tap takeover last year and was like Damn, picked up a six pack and really enjoyed it. But for the life of me can't figure out if this is a beer that they are constantly tweaking with the hop additions or what. I see on their site that this is now in an orange can, mine from last year were silver and black I think. And BA has about 4 different versions of 4 squared added, so not sure what is what with this beer. This is the one I bought: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/458/232417/ This is the one I had on tap: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/458/155679/ This is what they show on their website: https://realalebrewing.com/beers/four-squared/ Not sure which beer listed here is the current one being sold
I stopped by Specs today to get some and noticed some of the six packs of 4 Squared had a new can design with Four Squared spelled out. Checked the dates on the bottom just to make sure. I'm glad to know the beer I bought isn't only fresh, but has an improved recipe.
I need to let you know next time I come up to Hot Springs and see if you want me to bring you anything. Might be the Fall, will keep you in mind
I think the Amarillo one was a one time, keg only thing. But that's a guess. They need to amp this up...IPA and DIPA this bad boy because it's really good.
