Soo I don’t like stirring up gossip, but ..whoops.

Has anyone heard any rumblings about what’s going on over there? I know CSquared bailed. I was in there the other night and it didn’t even look like they had Rackhouse menus out???

Just worried the best lager game in CO might be going under.

No idea about what's going on via the back-end, but they had new menus without the Rackhouse name on them when I was there a week ago. I think they're just calling the whole upstairs Bierstadt now. The menu was dialed back to a 10'ish items, but they had 4 different schnitzels that were dirt cheap and huge. I never loved the new Rackhouse so I don't really mind that. If they totally dropped the kitchen I don't think I'd care since there is plenty of food nearby. Shack Shack and lager sounds damn fine to me. There's a winery moving in where CSquared was. Hopefully that's a positive sign.

Probably wishful thinking, but hopefully this means the "old" Rackhouse makes a comeback in another form.

The need for rebranding is always a cause of some concern, but the change in menu is a definite step in the right direction for me.

I feel like I look at the old Rackhouse with rose tinted glasses. Mainly just because they had good food and a beer list that was *way* ahead of its time. In reality, the service was bad, prices were high, special pours were small, it wasn't near anything, etc.
I remember constantly complaining about it even back in the day, but the beer list and food made me overlook all of those issues. When they closed for the first time, I think I especially forgot all of the negatives.

It started out as Rackhouse, but a lot of people still think of the original Rackhouse. It's nothing like the original one and I think to stop the comparisons, just lose the name

Yah, I think the draw is the beer. Not many people say, "Hey, let's go to the Rackhouse for dinner." The food is good, but the beer overshadows it. I have heard the schnti...shanit...scnhi...schnitzels are good.
