Am I the only one that thinks this is obscene this year? Last year I went through 2 cases...this year I'll probably only buy 2-3. I realize this will elicit a "well don't buy it then" response, but really Rahr?

I wanna say this was $8.99 in most places last year.

Yeah I drank about 10 of these last year and remember it not breaking the bank.

They are also releasing Tenderfoot in bombers at $6.00/bottle. Supposedly, this was done because the price of the BBAWW was going up so drastically.

Damn I guess I got one of last years as it had the old logo on it, explains the pricing difference. Wonder if this years is 100% bbl aged therefore justifying the price increase

Last year was also not as good as 2011 IMO, I'll pay more if it is as good as 2011. Its an acceptable price for a BBA strong beer.

From what I have been told it is not 100%

Barrel prices went up but DAMN, it nearly doubled the cost? I don't find this acceptable unless it's unblended, 100% barrel aged. I've defended Rahr for a long time, not this though.

In terms of beers this season, is it worth 2x Bomb!'s, Abyss, BBXXV? I just picked up a 4pk of BCBS for $17 at WF today.

True, at that price I would expect 100% BBA.

It went up from 8.5% to 9% abv... I believe there is more barrel and it probably is a better beer, I've already heard it's thicker, that's just a significant price increase.

It was easy to find in Houston last year.. and at this price.. I think it will still be easy to find... I'll pick up a bottle to try though. I still have one left over from last year I believe.

    ??

It's got "Bourbon Barrel Aged" in the name and a jovial man riding a barrel on the label.

They also make 6-packs of just the WW.
