Rahr Visionary Brew 2013

    Anyone had it? Not a huge fan of most of their beers but the barrel aged Winter Warmer. Noticed it was American Double IPA this year and thought I'd give it a try.

    I tried it at Central Market Fort Worth the other day and wasn't impressed. It is a good hoppy beer but it is missing the malt backbone that a double IPA must have. I didn't make the purchase.

    I loved the 2012 and am looking forward to this one again. One of those brews I won't forget...

    I did make the purchase and had it over the weekend. I agree with with you - definitely missing something.
