He joined within months of when I did and through the years he remained a regular contributor and a reference point.
So a toast to the peace I wish for his family.

 

Never personally met Ron, but we split a case of FFF Alpha Klaus many years ago when I purchased it in PA. When I dropped his share off at his house, I met either his mom or mother-in-law. She paid me for his share and then advised I could go in his DBF and help myself to any beer in there. I told her that was not necessary, but she insisted. I told her I would only take one if I never had it before. I peeked inside and saw a few that I never had, but told her there was nothing new in there for me to try. She smiled and thanked me on Ron's behalf. RIP, Ron. Sláinte.
