ARE YA READDYYY FOR SOME FOOOTBALLL!

Okay anyway, I'd like some homebrewed stout for the coming winter.. Has anyone added tried adding Raisinets for chocolate/dark fruit flavor? How about anything similar?

If so tell us about your experience with it.

    Cheers.

I think you'd have better luck trying to get those types of flavor from another method, like using Special B and some cocoa and lactose. Heavily processed candies and foods are going to add some things you probably don't want in your beer.

If you did try it, you'd probably have to mash them up to expose the raisins.

I made a 9% Baltic Porter last September, tons of rich dark fruit (raisin/fig). I could see upping chocolate malts and spiking with cocoa nib tincture.

I frikkin' love raisinets btw. I have always been curious how much meth they put in them.

I'm sure there must be some emulsifiers and preservatives in Raisenets, so make sure the beer is fully fermented before adding and then force carbonate if you are determined to use them.
