Spending the weekend in Raleigh, staying at the Holiday Inn Downtown Capital (the round one). Was happy to see that Trophy is like a 15 minute walk from there.

Stayed at the hotel a few times but have only really walked south & east for Raleigh Times, Busy Bee, etc. Never walked west from there. Is this a relatively safe walk for a dude and his wife, late night on the weekend?

    For reference: https://goo.gl/maps/sVun4

    All help appreciated.

You won't have any issues walking to Trophy and back late at night, or to the Fayetteville street bars for that matter. If you end up heading to Tasty Beverage/Crank Arm/The Pit later in the evening you might need to be careful about your route back but that's about it. Raleigh is a safe city in general, and the higher crime areas downtown are heavily patrolled by 3 or 4 different law enforcement agencies.

You will be fine in that area.

Definitely visit the Busy Bee Cafe if you have time. Busy Bee and Trophy are owned by the same people.
I'm sure @Woodrow will chime in at some point.

I'm a big fan of the Wilmington St/Hargett St. corner. Tons of good food and beer.

Excellent, thanks all for your help!

Been to Busy Bee a couple times, will get back if I can (some time constraints) but am definitely planning to check out Trophy regardless.

@FutureCowboy that walk won't be bad at all! Let me know when you're coming by so we can say hello!

@Woodrow should see you in an hour or two, bearing Mac & chez from Poole's. Take it or trash it!
