Lynnwood has been doing some good things recently. I'm a fan of Raleigh Brewing's dark beer (Hidden Pipe, Miller's Toll, etc). If you have time to drive out for an afternoon trip, Haw River Farmhouse Ales (in Saxapahaw) is absolutely worth a detour.

Nice! We have 2 Trophy locations, the one on Morgan street serves pizza & salads and limited growler options. The new production facility on Maywood avenue has twice as many draft options (12) and usually everything is available in 32oz growlers. We also host food trucks Wednesday-Sunday. Cheers!

The only other one that comes to mind for me is Crank Arm (which is downtown).

The ones mentioned here already are my favorites (Trophy, Lynnwood, and Crank Arm - probably in that order for me personally). RBC is probably the other one to mention, although I don't make it by there as much as the others. It's solid though.

Between those 4 breweries, the bottle shops, and Busy Bee/Mash & Lauter you've got the best Raleigh proper has to offer IMO.

The Maywood location is a little easier and closer off of I-40, but the Morgan location is only 5 minutes from there.

One thing I will add is that I think both Trophy locations are worth a visit, even on the same day, particularly from an out-of-towner's perspective. Mainly because they're both cool, but have pretty different vibes, are not that far from each other really, and oftentimes have at least a couple different beers on tap. And that includes what's available for growlers. Usually only 1 or 2 beers are available for fills on Morgan, but they might include a beer that's not available period over on Maywood. And obviously Maywood will have some that are not available on Morgan because they have way more taps in general.

Little Trophy (Morgan) and the new one on Maywood have separate social media pages. Little Trophy updates their draft list and pizza specials daily, what I recommend is following them and if they have something that sounds good to you then go there. Otherwise, maybe try the taproom with the more extensive taplist, they'll always have something good whether it be an IPA, stout, or saison. But a lot of times the pub will have the new one I want anyway, so I'll go there since I love the food there. Although for that reason it can get packed at certain times.

Only negative about Big Trophy is that they have more beers, but don't do half-pours, whereas the pub does and they don't even really need to since they have less on tap. Seems kinda backwards to me, but I survive.

Trophy, Lynwood, Bond Brothers (Downtown Cary) are my favorites. Bond Brothers is new and they are doing some cool stuff.

If you're gonna be close to RDU I highly recommend Gizmo Brew Works! Great suggestions from everyone else, too.

Just had my first Bond Bros beer here a minute ago at Ridgewood (the Local IPA) and was pretty darn impressed. They have their stout on too, may have to get a small pour of that one to try it as well.

I think they're solid too. Big fan of the Latte Variant.

Although I will note that this thread specifically references Raleigh...feel free to create a separate Cary thread :stuck_out_tongue:

Only select beers on Morgan, usually all of the beers on Maywood. But like I noted above, sometimes one location will have one or more beers on tap that the other one doesn't. Although if Morgan has a beer that Maywood doesn't, it's not likely to be offered for fills.

Agreed on Bond Bros. My brother hooked me up with a crowler of Local IPA, and it is solid.
