Looking for some southern hospitality. I will be in Raleigh this weekend visiting family and would like to hit a few bottle shops. I'm mostly looking for Wicked Weed sours (Serenity, Genesis, Lusus, Black Angel or Freak of Nature), Olde Hickory stouts, and things like Duck Rabbit 10th ( if still on shelves), or NoDa Hop Drop. I've done some research but it's pretty limited online. This is prob a tall order but any help in the right direction would be awesome. Just looking for a good taste of what the NC brew scene has to offer. Unfortunately not enough time to hit breweries. Thanks in advance for any help and feel free to BM if you don't want to post here. Cheers!!!

Sam's Quick Stop in Durham should have everything that's available, that would be my first stop. After that, Tasty Beverage in Raleigh is good.

Too easy. As of yesterday :

Bottle Revolution / Bottle Revolution 2
    Tasty Beverage
    State of Beer

They'll have all that you want. Haven't seen duck rabbit 10th, might want to try Triangle Wine...usually you can find some gems hidden in the shelves..they don't take great care of keeping up with their backstock.

You won't find Freak, unless it's on tap. Cans are coming eventually.

Also, go stop by Lynwood Brewing and drink some Hubris if they still have it. You'll thank me later.
    Enjoy!

There are so many bottle shops in Raleigh now. My go-tos are Ridgewood, Tasty, and Bottle Revolution. Some WW beers will be easy to come by...Genesis and Bretticent are plentiful, Oblivion is probably still around, and Amorous and TakeTake just showed up last week I think. Freak isn't bottled, but you can probably find it on tap somewhere (Tasty has Gluten FREEk on the growler station now and it's definitely worth picking up).

As for Olde Hickory: Event Horizon is still sitting on shelves and I saw about six bottles of Lindley Park on shelf at Sam's Quik Shop in Durham.

Hop Drop has been sitting around longer recently. They date their cans, so just make sure it's as fresh as you prefer.

We just started getting Westbrook cans from SC, so keep an eye out for those.

Any one of the bottle shops I mentioned are run by friendly, helpful people, so just ask and they'll point you to some good stuff. Ridgewood & Tasty do growler fills, all three have taps. Ridgewood has the best prices and tap selection, Tasty and BR have a larger overall bottle selection.

Old Sam's has Lindley Park on the shelf right now. Doubt it'll be there by the weekend.

Ridgewood will likely have Freak and some other good stuff on tap. You can get growlers of it there as well. They also have the best prices on Wicked Weed bottles of anyone in town.

The selection at the other shops is much bigger though.

I don't know how much time you have, but a quick stop at Allen and Sons BBQ over by Hillsborough- between Chapel Hill and Hillsborough on N.C. 86- is worthy. Then over to Sam's in Durham and you're done. Finish up at all the great new shops in Raleigh. Raleigh Times Bar and Busy Bee in Raleigh are very nice. Take the trip and see the area. Far be it from me to mention Haw River Farmhouse Ales up in the cool little Saxapahaw. Maybe next time.

I'm sure Bestway is pretty representative of whats around, lots of Weed varieties, Freak on growler station. I've seen Event on the shelves at a few locations too, I thought I say some Lindley Park at the one on High point Rd. Foothills BA Peoples Porter is out and its a great BA brew, march IPA from Foothills is also a great beer , had one yesterday at the brewery, and it's a hopped and dry hopped citra bomb. March IPA is probably my favorite since this concept was introduced.

They both keep very updated draft lists on their websites, so I would honestly just go to whichever one had the better sounding draft list at the time that you were about to go. Unless of course you're not trying to drink anything on site and just pick up some bottles.

Depends on where in Raleigh you'll be, but Tasty is downtown and very walkable to other cool spots (Crank Arm, The Pit, etc.). Both are great though.
