Yep. Very poorly run. They should have done something for the people towards the back of the line. Either lower the allotment, hand out tickets, or at the very least let people know that there are not enough bottles to go around. Waiting in line for 2 and a half hours for nothing sucked.

I'm happy for their success, but this is the last release of theirs I will be going to.

They make great beers, but have terrible releases. The double dipping, line cutting, terrible allotments. Allotments should have been lowered. Last release for me.

I agree. I completely understand sticking to your word. However, it wouldn't have taken much effort for them to let people near the back of the line know that they were very unlikely to get bottles. I'm a very busy person and really don't like wasting my time, so I'm a little bitter about standing in line this morning for nothing.

I saw what seemed to be some line skipping but you can never be sure with chairs and bottle sharing, which is part of the fun. However how hard is it at each hour to go hand out nUmbered tickets to prevent line cutting.

Got there at 8:40. Was in line when it started to snake around the building again. Got two bottles but would of happily settled for one with how many people were in line before 11. Shaun came out and I flat out asked him, "what are you going to do about this?" Surprised that he said he would do nothing and keep it at 2 bottles per. Makes no sense since Smore Luv was 2 bottles per person for the first 100 people then 1 after that. They have to put some thought towards tickets or something unless they want to keep letting 100+ walk away upset.

FWIW, got there around 1020. Was near the entrance when they sold out around 1145. Crowd was civil, didn't personally see any cutting, but obviously disappointed I missed out.

classic case of anyone who got beer is pretty happy, everyone who missed out is pretty upset. Sadly this is how beer releases are now, if you don't show up 2+ hours early you are running a big risk of missing out. I didn't see too much line cutting, but also didn't keep dibs on the people more than 5 in front of me.
I got there somewhere between 8:50-9:00 am and i got my allotment. the person behind me (along with his mother + father + girlfriend) only got 1 out of his possible 6. I don't really feel bad about it, especially because his mules got there late and kinda jumped the 5 or so people behind them.

No win situation for the brewery. Cut allotment to 1 and everyone that showed up early is upset. It was pretty obvious that there was more then 450 people there so not everyone was going to get bottles. It's tough when there is 900 bottles.

Overall, the weather was great and I enjoyed sharing some beers for a couple hours. I will be back for the next release.

Disagree - pass out tickets or something - pretty simple actually. If you don't get a ticket - you know your not getting one and don't waste a few hours standing in line.

Saw line cutting in around 25 instances , especially in the very front of the line. We were at the very front of the line ( the "back of the line" when it wrapped all around the building) and people just kept on seeing "friends" of theirs up front and would share their beer and just hang out until the door opened. Some ladies directly in back of my wife and I were concerned about how the line might get so convoluted that people will end up "cutting" ended up getting their bottles while we were still halfway around the building. Saw them walking to their cars with bottles while we were still in line. I bet if the bottle sharing stopped and tickets were passed out most of the cutting would be alleviated. Sorry for all of those who did not receive a bottle.

So tickets are passed out at 10am and bottle release is at 11am? Then people would show up even earlier (wasting time) and you would have cutting in line for tickets instead of cutting in line for bottles. A ticket release inside of a bottle release doesn't solve anything.

I can tell you that I know Shaun was overwhelmed by the turnout. The mistake that was made was guaranteeing 2 bottles per person. Seeing all the mules there today was disgusting! Also, the prices on this stuff have now gone up 50% and it was cash only. The more folks that turnout and the more people that bring their friends is going to equal higher prices you have to pay for each release. Good for Ram, but this is starting to suck for those of us that have been there from the beginning. I was halfway on the south side of the the building. I estimated I was about number 300 and that was at 8:00. I'd guess those that were in line that started to go back down the parking lot towards the hotel are probably a little off if they think they were 380. In any case, I don't do well in the cold, so you guys can have my spot if they have a winter release.
