It says "extra purchase". Im taking that as there will be other things on tap and not bottles for sale.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still looking forward to having this, especially now that I know it's different.

But, I disagree with saying a name doesn't mean much. It definitely gives a first impression of what you think a beer will be. For example, I think when most people hear of Vanilla Big Hugs, the first impression is that it's the same as Big Hugs, except with vanilla added. In this case of Chaos/Cocoa Chaos, that doesn't appear to be the case, so it is a bit confusing if you haven't been given the background on it.

I'm pretty excited about this as well. I've very much enjoyed every beer I've had by Shaun and really want to try as many as available/possible.

This is how I read it - I wasn't expecting more/different bottles, just other options on tap to purchase in case we want to get our drink on more.

Ahhh... That makes more sense. In which case I wouldn't mind splitting those optional bottles 2-4 ways. My gf will likely only want to try a bit of each and I certainly don't need to drink a whole IS bomber by myself.

Can't wait to see the trade forums light up an hour after the event ends with bottles of chaos for trade for VR, Prop 14, and Backyard++++

I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen that already with the (pre) tag.

Since people have bottle shared for the prior releases, do we believe bottle sharing will be allowed for Chaos Day as well? I didn't see anything in the details about it on the Eventbrite page.

I don't think that RAM or Shaun has ever openly said that bottle sharing is allowed at their releases. I think it is more of a we will turn our heads and look the other way as long as people are responsible and clean up after themselves type situation.

I'm sure it is illegal for them to tell people that they can drink alcohol in public. I'm guessing it will be fine at Chaos Day as long as people aren't idiots about it.

That makes sense. I'm debating whether to drive out from the city or take an Uber, so participation in bottle sharing beforehand would have an impact on that!

Do you mean bottle share in a line outside? Or bottle share in the restaurant? I'm assuming that's meaning outside (but could be wrong) and am confused - are people going to line up for this? It's an event where you either got the ticket or didn't and there doesn't seem to be a benefit to being first in line but I may be missing something.

My 1 experience and from what I've read here is people don't clean up after themselves. But you're right they sure have never said anything about it.

I assume they wouldn't allow anything in their restaurant, so I was more thinking outside. I figured people don't NEED to line up, but kind of figured if RAM fans have associated the releases with getting there early and sharing bottles, they might do the same for this. Even if it is a ticketed event. I have no plans to line up to be at the front of the line, but may consider getting there early if people are sharing bottles - that's all I was saying.

I'll come a bit earlier for the bottle share if others do the same. I like bringing something and socializing with like minded folks before a release.

Dark Lord Day is a ticketed event, and it's the biggest bottle share every year, so I don't think ticketing has much to do with. Likely more with what's been done in the past or the trend that develops for the event.

Was there a bottle share for last Chaos Day? There certainly has been plenty of Juicy and Side Note releases, which has been a good time.

The would be open by the first session so why would people line up for it? Just wondering if the whole restaurant will be closed for this event? 200 is a decent amount of people along with anyone else in there.

Ill be there with a friend in the second session.

The restaurant will be closed until 6:00 on the 14th. Also, I think things have gotten a little out of hand on the bottle shares over there and RAM is leaning towards putting an end to that. So for Chaos Day, you can figure that it will be frowned on.

If people could only act like adults and pick up after themselves. Pretty sad to see all of the bottles laying around last release.
