So a stout is a fad, then? Every brewery has their own, after all.:stuck_out_tongue:

I take no issue with someone who doesn't enjoy this style of IPA, but to dismiss it because it's a "fad" is missing the point. People are interested in these beers because they're tasty, and that's the most important thing for a beer to be. Seems unlikely to me that people realizing super fresh unfiltered beer = awesome will turn out to be a fad.

Aren't you the guy who hates on Bourbon County, too?

    I didn't say that IPA was a fad, I said unfiltered ipa's a fad. I enjoy ipa's
I was talking about flour ipa'a not the broad category ipa's.

I double batched it and completely filled my fermenter. My goal is to have 2-4 kegs on tap and then can about 4,800 cans/1,200 4 packs and allow 2 pp. so ultimately we can accomodate more than 600 people. First dry hopping will be today!

I understood what you said, and I'm actually against people adding bullshit to their beers to make them artificially hazy. However, I've also had unfiltered beers that were (in my opinion) demonstrably better than the filtered version (not ones with added flour or whatever), so my point was that it makes sense to me that unfiltered stuff is catching on. It's sort of like frozen food/food with preservatives vs. fresh, preservative-free food. The fresh stuff usually just tastes better.

Either way, we'll see how this all goes.

Any advice on what time to arrive? I'm assuming this one is going to be pure chaos

I was there at 930 for side note #4 and was within the 150 person 2 bottle limit. With plans to accommodate 600 people @ 2 four packs, I think I will last a while. Unless, lots of people re-enter the line.

It lasted days last time. I don't think this is a big line up hours early type situation. We picked up two crowlers at least 1 if not 2 days after the last release.

From Shaun's Instagram they will have more people working the line. That should help get through. But my guess is they will have no way to stop people from getting back in line - that seems really hard to do. I hope that's not the case but that's probably reality.

I'll be out of town, otherwise I'd be going.

I have a feeling that a lot more people will show up for this Juicy release than the last time. Word has gotten out about how good of a beer Juicy is. I think last time it was released people weren't quite aware of how good it would be.

I also think that since they are canning it this time (instead of bottling it) it will appeal more to people.

I hope I'm wrong, but I predict a very large turn out for this release.

But 600 at the release? it would wrap the building a couple times!

The beer isn't worth a line-up. While good he isn't producing stuff on tree house level, trillium level...hell even Revolution level.

I think people are getting caught up in the hype. If these beers were available on the shelf they would probably go quick, but 2-4 hour wait in line, certainly not.
