I'm not sure what may have changed, but three years ago each brand had its own brewmaster.

That said, I think they're under the same roof, at the same address.

And I thought I remembered a mention of the whole operation possibly moving to a new location.

What I always remember from years past was that the 2 labels always had different bottling dates, but not this year! Somewhat curious.

Very interesting. Surprised Sam Adams didn't beat Bells or Leine, which I've had poor experiences with. A little more spiced, but Sam Adams is almost a part of Oktoberfest for me.

So far this year, I’ve had Ayinger and Hacker-Pschorr’s Märzens, as well as Hofbrau’s festbier (from a 5-liter mini-keg) and the oddball Rothaus Eiszäpfle Märzen. All were very enjoyable, but the Ayinger probably tops the table for me.

    No, just no.

Invite a woman at a bar back to your place for an ofest and let me know how disappointed she is when you hand her a beer.

I'm late to the Oktoberfest party this year, but for me the clear value king is 4 x 16oz cans of Paulaner for $6.99 at Total Wine.
