Small Batch Series No. 2 is a Texas Farmhouse Ale. The Wallonian-style saison was brewed with spelt that has been smoked over 4 Texas fruit woods. The use of peach, apricot, apple and plum woods add a subtle smokiness and light fruit texture to the earthy-sweet spelt, and marries well with the complexities of the Belgian farmhouse yeast. Earthy, peppery spice, herbal notes, soft ripe fruitiness and light smoke phenols come from fermenting at high temperatures and create a deep, refreshing character. Highly attenuated for a quenching dryness, this traditional saison is an esoteric seasonal that’s made for the Texas summer months.

    Sounds good.....

Does the "wax serve any purpose other than asthetics?

Small Batch #1 was great, so I will be buying this one as soon as I see it.

PS: I don't care what the wax smells like, the beer is excellent.

Will they be adding brett to this batch too? :stuck_out_tongue:

(I liked the first batch because of the brett and this new one sounds right up my alley.)

Gabriel's should be getting 10 cases of #2 tomorrow. We still have plenty of #1 as well.

Hopefully, they will still be there come Saturday. I'm thinking they will since there is still some batch #1 out there.

Drank one tonight. Very nice mix of spicy/peppery farmhouse qualities and smoke. I enjoyed it a lot. I still wish I could've gotten my hands on more uninfected bottles of Batch 1....
