Well RC seems to keep the styles top secret until it releases. And even then, I had to look it up on untappd to figure out what style it was.

If you don't say what it's supposed to be, people can't be disappointed... :grinning:

I was really sad when I aged their English BW only to open it and have it gush all over the place. Tasted horribly infected.

I nearly bought a case of that infected junk. Sad because the bottle I originally had when it was fresh, was absolutely magnificent. It had all the potential.

Someone tell me what the prices are on this SB6. I might actually give this brewery one final try before giving up on them completely.

Hard to justify dropping $8 on a small bottle from a brewery with lots of QC issues when I can spend the same on Grand Cru

I'm sure it will show up at a tasting. That's how I've tried all the other ones!

Damn I didn't know they had infection problems. I really enjoyed the English barleywine fresh, it was fabulous.

I have liked the other ones better than the consensus here. I also always only bought 1 bottle and drank it within 1 week of when it was released probably helped.

$7.99 a 375ml? I might sit there and decide on a 4pk of Icon Gold instead for a little more.

You Can - i Actually think Icon Gold will sell out before SB6... Capitol Bev (distributor) only got about 95 cases of ICON gold left in there warehouse ( afcourse i dunno if they getting more or what )

It seems like they are good fresh. Don't they should be aged up to 7 months let alone 7 years.

I have still yet to see a gusher from the handful of bottles I have opened. I opened a bottle of SB2 that was about a year old some months ago and it was neither infected tasting nor gushing.
