I was in a local bar last night, and behind the bar was a poster of Ranier packaging through the years. There were a couple of unique bottles, and I've been looking for images on line, and not finding anything. The poster was long and narrow, laid out horizontally. On the left end was a swing top bottle from the 1800s, and on the right, was modern cans and bottles. The years each type of package was used was under each package. In the mid 1960s (66-68ish)was a very unique bottle. It's hard to explain, but here goes: It seems to be a 16oz bottle, the first 12oz are a straight cylinder. Then it indents, and above the indent, it goes back out in a sharp ridge. Almost UFO-Flying Saucer shaped. Then narrows back to a regular neck. A couple years later was a similar shaped bottle, but what appeared to be 12oz size.

I'm trying to find the image on-line so I can find out more about the bottle, but have had no love so far. Anybody have an image of the poster, or of the bottle, they can link me to? Thanks for trying y'all!

I can't picture what you are describing, but I remember Rainier's beer bottles were an unusual shape back in that period when the had 3 beers - Light / Light-Light / Not-So-Light (might have been a proprietary design, since I don't recall others brewers using it).

I'm trying to find the image so I could ask you. The three in your pic were in the poster, and IIRC, were just after the 12oz version of the one I'm talking about. The camera on my phone is wonked up, so I couldn't take a pic of the poster. I'll keep efforting.
