Rant of a grumpy old man

I've drank gallons of Alpine over the years but the last couple growlers I had of Pure Hoppiness and Duet were nothing like they use to be. So much so that it tasted like completely different hops in them. Either that or the crop they are using turned out much different than it usually does. Pure hop was terribly malty, and not as fragrant as usual. Duet was still enjoyable, but nowhere near what it has always been. It was much more fruity, and flabby overall. I actually wouldn't buy either beer again if they continued to taste like that.

 

I've been up to RR four times this year, every time on a Sunday. I arrive at 10.45am, 15 minutes before they open and only once have I not been the first person in line. By 11.30am, invariably, every table is taken and by 12pm, there's a line outside. If you don't want to wait, just get there early...
