Rare for 2 BASC

You're better off waiting two years for batch 2.

 

Those two bottles of Cantillon are a good place to start. Quite frankly, BASC has lost some of its luster from years past and I don't see someone trading down for multiples of them unless they're very generous. I'd rather enjoy one single bottle of Rare than two bottles of BASC any day.

 

I'm pretty new here, but I don't think 2 BASC is even close for Rare. it doesn't seem like BSC is pulling Bramble or Cherry Rye, and I would think it would take a few Cherry to pull a Rare. at this point the people who have them are holding them. I think it would really take like 5 or 6 BASC.

 

You don't have anything that will straight-up yield you a Rare. Maybe the two 'loons together. Maybe a 'loon and Chocolate Rain. Depends on the trader.

I think most people with Rares today (and I don't have one nor have I ever) are probably drinking them as they're afraid they're falling off.

 

Yea don't think it close I just saw a BASC got for a cherry Truffle abduction and that's a shelf beer.

 

Well no, with regards to BASC I did one for a Black Tuesday, and another for a Cherry Rye. BASC is a great beer but I don't think 2:1 gets it done for a Rare. I had a few 2008 BCBS and there is a limit to how lively any beer stays, it's time to drink these Rare's.

 

I offered 3 BASC last year for a Rare and got crickets. Also, last years BASC was much better (Pappy 20 barrels) than this year (Buffalo Trace barrels). Having had both multiple times now, I don't think even a full allotment of ths years BASC could get a Rare. That said, you have other things in your cellar to combo with BASC that could get it done.

 

Still trading for $100 worth of beer? Hard to believe any one beer is worth 4 bottles +. I wouldn't bother at that price, but that's me.

 

You can look at the variants, Cherry Rye, CS, vanilla, the new Coconut BC coming out.

 

I gave up on trading for rare beers period. I couldn't stand the douchebaggery. There are some awesome traders out there but too many others put me off the game altogether. I would rather enjoy those 2 BASC than trade them with a bunch of other stuff for 1 thing.

 

That seems like you got off pretty easy for KH. I had to box a BASC with a CBS, an event horizon, and a Lindley park to pull down a rare.

 

Sounds like a good trade for everyone, I'd do that trade if I had another BASC. I'm down to my last trade bottle, and there's really nothing I want right now except the BA PT5.
