RareR Dos growler life

For what it's worth, it has been less than 2 months -- December 21, 2012. It was drinking great as of a few weeks ago, but I haven't had it since then. So damn good, though.

 

I had some extended conversation with Doug on this topic. I think that he recommends you drink them but he thought that they should keep well for some period of time. He would have told you to drink by now, but he would also tell you that it still should be good. Post back with results if you get one and drink it. I would like to know, sure others would as well.

 

Brought a growler last week to PtY Day and it held up fine...plenty of carbonation and tasty as fuck...

Those growlers were filled pretty well. Not fit for extended aging but they'll be fine for the near future.

 

I just received one via trade today and plan to crack it open in the next few days. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it is doing. Regarding shipping, no leakage issues.

 

I received one in a trade right after it was released -- was a bit of beer in the bottom of the shipping bag, but there were no issues -- it was divine. Like OP, I'd be more worried about what a month and a half has done to a flip-top growler which is then shipped from Florida to Minnesota...Lots of variables...

 

FWIW mine had no issues considering how far it traveled.

 

Sent out 6 or 7 of them with no issues during shipping and no complaints about taste or carb.

 

I received one from a generous trading partner on 1/16, and drank it w/in a couple of days. Bottle was well-packaged and well-sealed. No issues w/ leakage of liquid or CO2. Very smooth, well-balanced brew! These are probably still drinking decently, but have also likely started to drift away from what they were on the day of the release. If you don't have one in hand in the next few weeks, you may want to wait til next year!

 

I received 3 packaged pristinely and with no signs of seepage. I opened one 2 weeks ago and another just last night. Both were tasty and had zero carbonation issues.

 

Drank mine last night and no problems at all to report; full bodied with lowish but present carbonation; feel was just right for a beer of this style, at least for my tastes.

 

Had one within the last couple weeks and it was terrific!

 

Just opened one on Saturday and it was as amazing as it was fresh...great beer and worthy of the huge praise.

 

Had one last week and no issues with carb. Incredible beer with rich flavors reminiscent of AB Hunahpus.

Drank one tonight and had plenty of carbonation. The issue is that it tasted very average.

 

I drank one from the original release (I think April 2012) in November 2012, so ~7 months old and it was fantastic.

 

I have one coming to me soon so i hope it is still amazing. I am so anxious for it!
