Recently in a beer store I frequent found a bottle of DFH Raisin De'extra. The owner claims bottle date is from 2007. I usually have no problem with taking his word but recently had a discretion with a WWS bottle date in his store. I couldn't look up the last year that this beer was brewed by DFH... If I'm not mistake I believe it Was 2007 which would make me inclined to take his word for it then. Can anyone shed light on this? P.s. Bottle stamped date is smudged and unable to read
I still have a Raison De'xtra bottle in my cellar from 2007, so I can verify that it was bottled that year. If memory serves me, it was 3/15/2007 - or thereabouts. To my knowledge it has not been brewed since then.
Thanks for the response! I believe you're correct but I just wasn't sure. I really want to pick the bottle up but wanted to be sure before I spent the money. I heard they may brew it again this year?? (Can anyone confirm) may be cool to compare the vintage with the 2015
PSA: It is Raison D'Extra. p.s. Sorry for being that guy, but there are like 3 alternate spellings in this thread and it is bothering me. Can't wait to try it for the first time.
I was going to ask the price too. If you can get it cheap enough, then no harm. But, as the old adage goes, Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
Def true- that's why I wasn't goin to pull the trigger unless I knew. Which no one has definitively answered yet btw lol... Was 2007 the last year the beer was brewed??
