Looking for some help on the trade value of this. I've never heard of it till a friend brought it up to me, so I'd like to land a bottle for him. Any idea what it may take? Thanks for the help in advance.

I had regular Ananke at a tasting. The guy that brought it got it as an extra. It was #2 behind Izzy, in front of CBS that night.

It was also preferred to some beers that actually still taste good as well. Insert smirk here.
Edit- in all seriousness it was actually really good and I may seek out the Raspberry in the future. I don't think it trades very high. I'm sure if you put up a list of moderate brewery only or limited shelf stuff you would be likely to get a bite.

I did a trade for a couple of Raspberry Anankes, Fortuna Roja and a few others can't really remember. I ended up sending a few Hill Farmstead saisons and a Birth of Tragedy batch 1.

I thought regular Ananke was so good that I just had to have the Raspberry when it was released (got it for some BCBS, I believe). I enjoyed the original version a bit more but both very tasty.

Raspberry Ananke is a good beer. I believe I sent BCBCS and a couple of Revolution barrel-aged bottles in a package trade that involved it.

Should not be impossible to get, but it is getting scarce (released in September, first and only time so far). Just offer up something limited from your area, I know I traded a couple away back when it was released for CCB and Bruery stuff.

Probably something like Darkness, Surly Syx, a Townhall Growler or some decent Steel Toe.

Next Ananke release is scheduled for May 11, but I dont know if that will include raspberry or just regular. Might be easier to wait until then to search one out

So far, the May 11th release is just regular Ananke. I would expect a fruited variety later this year.

I sent most of mine to regular partners, but most recently used it to score a Hunahpu.(as part of a bigger trade) Shouldn't be too hard to land as I walked away with 1.5 cases on release day. Not sure on bottle count, but I know it was less than 1000 bottles.

Based on a variety of factors (quality, production quantity, ease of acquisition via trade), I think the Ananke family is one of the top values in the trading scene. OP, you should be able to get this done fairly easily, just post up a reasonable ISO.

Too bad all of those are impossible to find in Minnesota.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Raspberry Ananke had no limit at the bottle release last year.

Probably right. San Antonio beer community is pretty small, so this hasn't been an issue yet. I think Scott (Freetail brewer) said the upcoming Ananke release would be around 750 bottles.

No limit. The turnout for Freetail sours is usually much lower than that of the La Muerta release. La Muerta draws more San Antonio locals and the sour releases draw mostly beer geeks. I bought 18 bottles of Raspberry Ananke on release day. 4 other bottles were released that day; Realtail, Porto Gallito, Yo Soy Un Berliner, and Fortuna Roja. Fortuna Roja being the only beer with a bottle limit. (2 per person with 120 total bottles) In the future Freetail will reenact bottles limits depending on turnout.

Yeah. Ananke was available for about a month at the brewery. As was Rasp. Ananke. I probably mailed off over 4 cases combined. Got lots of Bourbon County and Heady Topper. I tried to do a local trade for a few bottles so I could send to a trading partner and it was a little harder to get these days. I'm guessing it'll trade a little higher after this next release. I'll be buying as much as I can as I have a lot of repeat requests. Lol

If only we lived in a world where purchase limits were relevant (cf. Fantasia, BA Abraxas)
