I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for here to be totally honest; validation perhaps? Suggestions for next time? But anyway, normally my beer fridge is pretty bare because I have somewhat limited budget, and *very* limited time, to be seeking out beers. But I happened to have had a bit of both this past month, so I stocked up a bit, and I think I did pretty ok. Definitely some local bias here, and I also go out of my way - maybe too far lol - to have a variety of styles around. With that in mind (and note a few of these were there already but I don't remember which ones exactly): NEBCo Schnitzengiggles Festbier NEBCo Ghost Pigeon Porter NEBCo Fuzzy Baby Ducks IPA NEBCo Closer to Free IPA OEC Aether Wild Ale OEC Dapple Dark Mild OEC Saison OEC Coolship Black Lager Punkin Bigfoot 2023 JW Lees Harvest Ale Schlenkerla Märzen St. Georgen Kellerbier Brother Thelonius (it's not my favorite dubbel but I really like dubbels and it's the only one I could find; in fact, BA doesn't even consider it a dubbel, wow) Rochefort 6 (ok so I lied about the dubbels but at $7 a bottle I can't get too many of these, in fact I have just one) Aventinus (also just one, sadly) Negra Modelo (this one someone else bought but I have to admit i kind of like it) Whaddya think?
You certainly sound very excited about your haul, and that's all that matters. I'm only familiar with the beers in the bottom half of your list, and that's a nice bunch of beers to enjoy.
Remember to rate them as you drink them! I don’t know many of those beers, but I admire the diversity! I usually only have a few different kinds in my fridge at any given time. Cheers.
And maybe some feet pics? Just kidding. Definitely some nice variety. But seriously, JW Lees is so solid AND SN Bigfoot! There's two side of the barleywine spectrum, and BOTH are glorious.
Picture of it didn't happen Nice variety. Do you typically have these many different styles or are you trying to decide which style you like best? Well done.
I would be most excited about that OEC Dapple Dark Mild… Nice haul with a mix of styles, should make for an enjoyable November.
My fridge is full of celebration 3 12pks. And some old 2019 cbs lol. Nothing fancy at the moment. And some ghost energy drinks lol.
You really can't go wrong with OEC - Aether is really tasty and I'd grab that Dark Mild without a second thought if I saw it. Fuzzy Baby Ducks is a fun one but drink it fresh. Your treasure here might be the JW Lee's Harvest Ale. I picked up two that were gathering dust - one 2011 and one 2007 vintage. They were glorious.
This is a great concept, but needs photos. Ain’t got time to read no list — and there’s other factors than just the beers.
You have good taste in beer! I’ve had a couple of OEC beers and liked them, have you been to the tap room?
