I started reviewing soon after I got into craft. Your more then ready. Also I do agree with what your saying, you gotta review to style more than your preference, I like some style significantly better than other but when I review a style I try to be very open minded and remember 3 is average for that style, and not how much I like the style. It gets easier as you do it also. But there is no way to truly control how other people review because then every beer will be rated much higher and be much more biased.

I want to know what the average craft drinker thinks of a beer, because I'm pretty much an average craft drinker (with a relatively inexperienced palate). In fact, most people on here are probably "average" craft drinkers (not quite by definition, but it still should be close).

Just taste and write what your senses tell you about it. It's not complicated.

Don't worry, there are countless beers on here that are misclassified.

You could start reviewing to help right the ship if it concerns you so much.

The only thing I can think of is have a minimum number of characters necessary for submission. I too feel that no one's review, no matter how much more eloquently written and descriptive, is worth more than another review, even if the former provides a plethora of useful information while the latter doesn't. As long as the reviewer is becoming more descriptive and thoughtful with time I see no problem.
