    Ahhhh Bummer,

I was just there Sept. 29th...stopped in before heading to Citi Field to see David Wright's final game. (Had a few glasses of Hill Farmstead Edward) Fond memories of drinking green flash, ballast point, founders etc. back in the day before they were avail. here in CT. Also remember a killer cask of Smuttynose Robust Porter before an Ace Frehley show. Splitting a bottle of Alesmith Speedway stout with @seplo years back before CT. had access.

    Damn Landlords....

    RIP - RnH East

Always made sure to visit when in town. Sad to see it go. Last time we were there, however, it was pretty dead. It was during the Memorial Day weekend, so I didn't think much of it. Maybe that was a portent of things to come?

This is insane. Holy shit. I don't have any crazy memories like the ones being posted, but I've had my fair share of long lunches here with my drinking buddies. This is sad.

Im so disappointed to hear this . I have been traveling btw work and the holiday season and didn't realize they closed for good. I tried to go there for brunch the first Saturday in December and thought it strange that they were closed, but peering inside everything was still there so I thought it was just closed for some other reason (water leak or something, who knows).
This is the first I've heard they're closed for good. This was a go-to spot for me (I've only been living in Manhattan 8 months) and I told every craft beer lover I knew about it. Unpretentious, great beer list, great staff, and fun patrons, always. I met so many interesting people there.
I've been to West and the atmosphere is just not the same.
Gingerman IMO does not even compare; too frat boy brotown.
Huge loss for the Midtown scene.
