Re-enabling the Members Section

We disabled the Members section of the site due to spam and performance concerns, but have reconsidered this. I'm currently in the process of folding it back into the site, and we have plans to tweak the defaults and add more useful lists.

For the time being you can view it here: http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/members/ or when viewing a member's profile page. We'll probably disable Registered Members and Current Visitors, but Notable Members (if expanded) and Recent Activity have use and potential, as does extending this section to the BeerAdvocate app.

More integration to follow ...

• The "Members" tab has been re-enabled in the main navigation. It defaults to the Most Points tab.
• Section contains several helpful links (like: Recent Activity), lists, and forms (like: Find Member).
• We plan on extending this section with future updates.

 

The Members navigation tab now defaults to Recent Activity. The thinking is: While the Notable Members pages are nice, they're going to be a bit static. You, our members, aren't ... so we should highlight your activity. For now this just includes posting, liking, and profile updates. We plan on extending this much further.
