One of my favorites, and I think the first Texas craft beer I tried when I moved down to Houston about 6 years ago. I always bring some back for my Brother In-Law. He is a big fan as well.

Best yearly offering from Real Ale IMO. Never had a bad batch.

So this is one I haven't had yet. What would you compare it to, favorably?

I need to drink one fresh....unlike tonight...after Alesmith IPA, Figueroa Mountain Hoppy Poppy, Founders Backwoods Bastard and a 22 oz Deschutes Abyss lol to make a good analysis of the beer, but it tasted pretty good even after all that.

I always thought it was like Great Lakes Edmunds Fitzgerald Porter, but with coffee. Meaning damn good, with coffee.

I know this seems like a smartass answer, but he's kind of right.

Similar to the Sante Fe Java, but deeper coffee flavor.

Deeper coffee than Santa Fe, but lighter mouth feel. Easier to drink a few with the lower ABV too.

If you've ever had Uncle Billy's Insomniac Stout, that's a fair comparison.

Actually this is a good comparison but more coffee flavor in the RA one, but now youve got me wanting some insomniac you bastard!

Cool - I like both of those beers, especially the Santa Fe, so I'm sure I'd like this one too

Really looking forward to getting home and getting some of this. I love stouts and porters, and I love Real Ale, so I'm sure this is going to be delicious.

RA Coffee Porter is the beer that got me hooked on craft back in the day (Coffee in beer? What kind of black magic is this?). I love the stuff.
