Have a guy who works for me transferring to Cologne, Germany and want to send him off by bringing in some Kolsch. Does anyone know if anyone in or near Stamford carries Gaffel, Reisdorf, or Fruh Kolsch in bottles, cans or mini kegs? I mention those 3 as they are the only ones I can recall seeing in the US. I will happily take suggestions for other authentic Kolsch. Prefer not to have to settle for American interpretations.
Reisdorf is fairly common. Isn't this like bringing coal to Newcastle? Maybe you should get him something he won't find there. My daughter just came back from Italy with a new found love for pancakes and hamburgers (and Italy).
Not sure about which store in Stamford might have it. But, I have seen Gaffel and Reissdorf at Total Wine in Norwalk.
