Has anyone seen any of this floating around? The Smuttynose website says it's coming out early April.
I think that there was some at Bert's Better Beers in Hooksett, NH. It does float around. Right now, tons of Baltic Porter out there, which is never a bad thing.
They are having the release party for the Big Beer Series subscribers on the 13th, which means it should hit the market soon after. With that being said, they have some '09 Really Old Brown Dog left in the "vintage cooler" at the brewery that you can go and pick up whenever they are open for tours.
Really old Really Old Brown Dog is amazing. I've still got two bottles from last year I haven't touched yet. It's a little hot for my tastes when first released.
I agree, though I wish I knew how they justify adding $4-5 to the original cost by just letting it sit in a nearby fridge.... Anyhow.... Prosit!!
I bought a 2012 bottle at Eno's in Downcity Providence earlier today. One left if you want to call & hold it! Right next to three Bolt Cutter's as well...
Thanks for the interest in Really Old Brown Dog, everyone. Really Old Brown Dog should begin appearing in stores next week (April 15ish). As with the rest of our Big Beer releases, markets who order more frequently like NH, MA and NYC, will get their allocations earlier than some of our less frequent orderers. As far as the vintage cooler prices go, each beer needs to pay their rent in the warehouse and $12.50 per 22 ounce is about what we've figured as a good price. Even though some styles fly out the door at that price and others move a bit more slowly, we're pretty happy line pricing all the vintage bottles and keeping it simple. We do appreciate your feedback. Cheers, JT Smuttynose Brewing Company
I have a 2008 bomber if anyone is interested. Ideally, would love to swap for a 2008 Imperial Stout....... Cheers All.......
As someone mentioned, 'aged' ROBD is a FANTASTIC beer. I had an '09 a few weeks ago, it was amazing! Planning on getting a bunch this year.
