Wow I always forget how good this beer is, also excellent with some age on it. This year its 11%. This could be my favorite holiday beer!

Did they move away from 22oz bottles to 4pk for the Big Beer releases?

Nope, just Really Old Brown Dog and Baltic Porter are now in 4-packs. Zinneke was recently released in a bomber.

Having one right now. A real nice Sat nite rain/snow mix sipper at 11%! Not bad fresh, I am going to grab a few to age as well.

How does it compare to Old Brown Dog? Similar taste?

It's a bit different. It's been a few years since I last had it, but if memory serves me correctly, ROBD is an old ale, and reminded me much more of a barleywine than a brown ale. Now that it's available in 4-packs, I might have to crack my cellared bomber from a few years ago! Glad to see it's regularly available now.

Did someone say that Baltic Porter is as well??

Saw the 4pks. of ROBD in VT. this weekend, but nothing in CT. yet.Agreed, this one does well with some age.

Looking forward to having some of the Big-Beer series in 4pks.Can't wait for the Baltic Porter, and I gotta hunch that we are gonna see Imperial stout 4pks. come February-ish....

    Cheers

Is the Baltic porter out yet? Just drank a 2012 bottle, it was drinking exceptionally well. Need some more.

Fifth Ave Liquors in Framingham had some 4-packs of Really Old Brown Dog today. They were kind of hidden on the floor so I'm glad i looked down. Looking forward to trying this and aging a couple.
