Rebel Rouser Double IPA - Sam Adams

    Didn't notice any post on this one. Yes I know it's not going to be the best brew out there, but i'm excited to try this one. Will most likely be a good price and be available to me at my grocery store. Hope this one turns out to be a good one.

    This west coast style Double IPA is the 2nd IPA in the “Rebel” family and it will use American, Australian and New Zealand hops. Look for Rebel Rouser to come in at 8.4% ABV.

    The first version was set at 80 IBU's but was raised to 85 IBU's.

    Couldn't find a release date, let me know if you have any info on that.

    Heard from the Sam Adams rep that this is gonna be delicious. Hope so cause rebel is terrible.

    Oh boy...let the Sam Adams hate begin.

    I, for one, am looking forward to this one. I enjoyed Rebel. Not the greatest thing, but certainly not "terrible."

    I notice everyone always seems to have to almost apologize for commenting positively about any Sam Adams brew as if afraid of taking hits from the "cool kids." Dammit I'm excited to try this beer and I don't care who knows it! :wink:

    Hopefully it's better than Third Voyage. I still have a bottle of that sitting around from the Hopology pack.

    Sounds really good, but I think the proper term is rabble-rouser'. Pretty damn sure.

    It's a play on words, bruh. Rebel is their other "West Coast" IPA.

    What else is a Sam Adams rep gonna say?

    I'd try it if I came across it. Sam doesn't seem to do bigger hoppy beers well. Was not a fan of rebel, like their cream stout though, wish they would focus on stuff like that.

    Rebel isn't a bad fall back beer if there is nothing else on tap. Looking forward to this and the session but never really liked their other ipas. The imperial Pilsner is the shit tho!

    They are a "malty" company for sure, but I appreciate their willingness to make a bunch of different beers

    Never said I hated Sam Adams just don't like rebel. The rep I talked to is a beer nerd. If rouser was bad he would tell the truth. From what I've heard its similar to fresh squeezed. Really clean and not bitter

    I promise to try this at least once. I hate the hate that sam adams gets on this site, so hopefully people give this a real shot.

    That'd be Rebel Rider. We're actually getting ready to pack some of it out this upcoming week! I'm excited to see how that one turns out. Rebel is great, but a more sessionable version of it would be preferable most days.

    As for a release date, I imagine it will be just after the holidays. I know we're getting ready to package the Rebel Rider, so I imagine the Rouser will be released right around the same time. Our sister brewery out in Cincinnati will be taking care of that one.

    It's going to be a pretty hopped-up spring for the company this year, as we're releasing Crystal Pale Ale (an American Pale) with the spring variety packs as well (which should show up shortly, if they haven't hit your distributors already).
