Recent Brewery Visits (2025)

Don’t agree with that other dude at all. That area north of Albany has Common Roots, Mean Max, Slickfin, Slate Town, Scotlander, Bound By Fate, Ferdle Turtle all going solid-to-great things, all good taproom experiences and save Ferdle Turtle they’ve all been open since before Covid.

Those types of places are literal community hubs in the way townie bars used to be (or still are in a lot of cases) so unless they overextend or are bad in business they’ll all be just fine.

 

Popped into Riverwalk in Newburyport last week. They had a cask beer (it was their bitter, but renamed) and it was delicious. More cask beer!

Anyone have the Silvaticus Octoberfest? I'm thinking I might swing by and grab a four pack. It's historically been good.

 

Grabbed some Silvaticus octoberfest last Sunday. It's excellent as usual. Great draft and can list too. Are octoberfest cans still available? I pre-ordered just in case.
