    Hi Everyone,

I will be traveling in Bordeaux area, as well as San Sebastian and Basque Country. I was wondering if anyone has any cool recommendations in terms of beer bars around any of these areas. Maybe a place that you can have some local, worthwhile stuff that isn't widely available. I will also have some New England goodies like Treehouse to share if there are any places that permit this kind of thing (beer shares or just beer bars with a chill policy towards these kinds of things)

    Thanks!

    Hi,

You can find here a list of nice craft beers related places in Aquitaine. For Bordeaux (you can look at 33 -Gironde and for Basque Country at 64-Pyrénées-Atlantique).

I don't really know well this part of France but this will give a good idea. You can also check Untappd while you're there. I know one very nice brewery in Bordeaux worth seeking out, they're named Azimut Brasserie. Here you've got there website (they have an English version) and here there BA page!

There also some nice breweries in Spanish Basque Country as Basqueland Project, etc. You can find some listed here.

I'd be glad to welcome you home and share with you some nice French and European craft beers and enjoy some NE beers with you but I'm not really near Bordeaux (only 700km away)... Anyway, if you want to visit Rhône Valley (I live in Valence), just ask me!
    Cheers

If you can drive, in Angoulême (north of Bordeaux), the brewery La Débauche (one of the best in France) opened a taproom, worth a stop!
