I have vacation time I need to start taking, but really can't take long extended vacations due to staffing issues at work. I'm looking to do 1-2 days off a couple weeks a month for a few months, and I thought I might go on a few tours. I've been to New Glarus and did the self-tour, and I am signed up to do the hard hat tour (but not until November - those things are booked crazy far in advance!).

Where have you gone, which did you like?

Edit: The UP is easy access for me, too, and I would consider Minnesota also.

Cant go wrong with Eau Claire/Menomonie/Hudson/Twin Cities area IMO. Not necessarily all tours, but great breweries to check out.

    Eau Claire- Lazy Monk
    Menomonie- Lucette
    Wilson- Dave's Brewfarm
    River Falls- Rush River
    Hudson- Pitchfork, American Sky
    Somerset- Oliphant
    Twin Cities- um, a lot

MKE Brewing if you want to get hammered.
Actually, if you can pull off MKE Brewing, Great Lakes Distillery, and Lakefront all in one day and still be able to speak English, you're a true Wisconsinite.

Central Waters is one of my favorites. Awesome operation they have going on.
Tyranena, Karben4, and O'so are also worth visiting (not sure if any have tours).
