    Hey There,

Headed to New York next weekend, have not been in a few years at this point, and staying in a part of town that I'm not terribly familiar with. We will be staying near the corner of 8th Ave and W 22nd St. I'm looking for some recommendations of things within walking distance of that area.

Mainly would like to find a nice bar/brewpub with a good tap list and nice food options to do dinner and a few beers at one evening, and also looking for a good bottle shop/liquor store in the area to pick up some stuff to take home. Would be mostly interested in things like Sixpoint, Brooklyn, Founders, etc., that don't make their way out west.

Again, having not been to New York for a few years now, if there are some other brands that I should seek out but might not have heard of, feel free to call those out as well.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may offer!

You're about a 20 minute walk from the Blind Tiger on the intersection of Bleecker and Jones St. They will have a solid tap list, and the food is excellent. If you want a little space and room to eat, I recommend stopping by in the afternoon.

For bottle shops, you are only 2-3 blocks from the Whole Foods on 24th and 7th. Should be about a five minute walk.

Also you are a short walk from both Rattle N Hum and Ginger Man which are both around 34th st and 5th Ave
Both have good tap lists but can get a bit crazy after work but are both nice bars

Hey man, I work not too far from where you're staying - let's finally meet up and grab a beer. I can also help you with any bottles you're looking for.

I work on 23rd St in Chelsea and my go-to beer spot is The Guilty Goose on 23rd St b/w 6th and 7th Ave. Low-key environment, good food, great rotating drafts.

Whole Foods (repeat) on 24th and 7th is a good bet, but I'm pretty sure their downtown Bowery location has a larger selection. Good Beer or ABC Beer Co if you're heading into the village at all.

Haha, touche! Thanks for the laughs. I guess that's what I get for typing my thread titles so quickly!

10011 ZIP code, not AREA code.

Thanks to everyone else for the great suggestions, looking forward to having a good time!

I'll drop you a line later and see what's up!
