I've done my research as to which bottle shops to hit up, but I'm having a difficult time finding a place to dine that has a good brew selection. Looking at BA's directory for Lakeland, The Brass Tap might be the best option in the city?

Any and all local recommendations are extremely welcomed!

Brass Tap will be your best beer selection option. If you are interested in good food (or at least better than bar food) you have a few options.
    A. Eat at Brass Tap
    B. Eat at GrillSmith (just around the corner) then go to BT.
    C. Fresco's downtown has decent food and good beer selection.
    D. The Red Door has better good, limited but solid beer options usually.
    E. Patio 850 has good food, nice outdoor patio under oak trees with limited beer selection.

Honestly, if beer is your primary factor in deciding then just go to Lakeside Village (where Brass Tap is) and choose your favorite restaurant. Founders is still the brewery of the month.

Thanks @Beer4B for the recommendations! Red Door looks might nice. I won't be down there till November, so I'm assuming their menu will change by then.

If you're looking for a store with a good beer selection , check out ABC liquor store on Hwy 98 north about 1/2 mile south of Griffin Rd if you're on the north side, or their new store on S Florida Ave if you're on the South side.

Also, Brew Hub on Frontage Rd just opened, they have about 24 beers on tap (all contract brewed beer). The address is 3900 Frontage Rd South. Very cool place but no food.

But yeah, as far as dining with a solid beer selection, Brass Tap is about as good as it gets here.

Saw a story on the Brew Hub in today's Tribune

Any names on the taps sound familiar? I see the place all the time driving by on I4.

Brew Hub seems pretty interesting. @Beer4B mentioned that Lakeland Brewing will be opening soon.

That is an interesting collection. The Terrapin selections make me wonder if they are brewing for them. Lots of CCB. I wonder how Mr Gunhaver has time to sleep with all he has cooking, (I mean brewing), in his professional life. Thanks. I am going to have to drop in and check out old wood and fresh beer.
