Peak Fresh Cut and Two Roads Ol' Factory are decent. Not the greatest beers under the sun, but good values.

Grabbed a single of Von Trapp. Man that's a tasty beer!

Was curious about that one, but also curious about the cans of del Ducato and Baladin. Generally excited about the program as well, given how well-thought-out it seems to be.

This goes against the OP but we are already far off track...Silavaticus soveriegn is the best MA made pils imo.

They get it somewhat frequently at CBC Belmont. They're good at holding things if you ask and will even call you when they come in.

For the record, I'm not in the habit of asking for that kind of service but they offered it freely when I asked about a beer.

ETA: I'm talking about Schlenkerla, not Tipo. never seen the latter.

The b.good near me has a $10.99 burger, fries and beer deal now until Labor Day. The burgers alone usually go for $6.99-7.99. And they always have Peak Organic Fresh Cut on tap, which is very solid.

Other than that my go tos are CBC Remain in Light and Von Trapp. One time for a charity beer event I was helping with, we got some Bitburger right from the disributor and it was delightful.

Back there today and it is indeed awesome. Their Helles with spruce tips was pretty fine too

No I'm afraid B. United doesn't distro in NH, so I've been getting the Schlenkerla 4 packs in Kittery. Just grabbed a freshie on Saturday for $15 I think. Outstanding buy for this beer compared with the old $5 single bottle form factor. Crazy how a 4.3% ABV beer packs that much flavor.

Came upon 360ml/12.2oz 6pks at total wine today. $13.99. The rep reckoned they've only just started carrying it. Oct 6th best before, so 3.5 months old. On a hot humid day like today this is liquid gold.

Total Wine just started carrying that specific date, or Rothaus? Because I imagine Total Wine has carried Rothaus since they came into the area.

I've never seen it in TW before. Never seen it listed in their online database either

Huh, weird. I thought a big retailer like them would have carried it.

I picked up some Hanse at Schilling last week and it's mighty tasty. Rich and bready and hopped all to bejeesus. If it weren't a two hour drive for me, I might go back and get an entire fridge full.

It’s not traditional however Mass Rising from Jack’s Abby is an American Double Imperial Pilsner.
I just tried and reviewed this, malty and very hoppy, even a spicy hot twinge.
Best lager I have tried to date, dare I say best beer.

Re: Rothaus. I bought a 6pk from Bacon's in Hudson. Best by date is actually today I believe. If really fresh is the only way then it must be very good, because I've found it delightful.

Great beer but not a pilsner of any sort. It's mislabeled on this site because there isn't a general IPL category.

Did a mini blind pils tasting with 4 people last week, not all pic are local (some are from the NC area)

the top 3 were pretty close to a tie
Palatine (I know not a selfie)
    Gather - Fox farm
    edgeworth

Post Sift and Sunny ridge scored really high as well, I really liked sunny ridge a lot and it was one of my top beers of the tasting.

Tributary Brewing - Pils grabbed at a local Maine can shop was the surprise and really solid pils if you come across it.

Has anyone seen fresh bottles of Mahr's pils in the last year or two? (fresh, relatively speaking for an import). Was always my favorite pils but an occasional splurge due to price and availability. Now I hardly ever see it at all.

I didn't check the dates, but I have seen bottles this week at Pemberton Market and at Ball Sq Wines. They did change their label and bottle shape recently so maybe you missed them when you were scanning the shelves?

Ah new labels...that's probably why. It also probably doesn't help that the shops around me don't have great import sections.
