I have a friend in Calgary who is just recently starting to venture into IPAs. He has said he's tried quite a few and doesn't care for the bitter/piney/resinous IPAs that he's tried an was looking for suggestions. I suggested he try and look for Bell's Two Hearted or Founders Centennial IPA, as those aren't super bitter and have an nice floral/citrusy quality to them. He said he looked around and didn't find either of those beers and asked for other suggestions. Since I'm not familiar with what is available in Calgary, I was hoping some Canadian BAs might be able to offer suggestions. Namly, what IPAs are available in your fine city that are more the citrusy/floral/tropical variety (i.e. - with Centennial, Citra, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin or other "not so bitter/piney" hops). Thanks in advance!
Try the Alberta liquor guide, it will tell you everything available at least. http://www.liquorconnect.com/Pages/default.aspx
Central City Red Racer IPA? Pretty sure if is available in Calgary these days. Quite floral and tropical.
