    Hey guys,

I used to be a craft beer salesman and a very active member but I've been out of the game for about 2 years now. I recently moved to Central CT (New Britain area) from the Danbury area and have been looking for some recommendations on shops/bars to check out. Crazy Bruce's is about a 10 minute drive from me and has a decent selection but other than that, I haven't had much luck around here.

    Any recommendations are appreciated.

    Thanks!

Harvest Country Store and Harvest Wine and Spirits in West Hartford are good choices. Also Parkview Liquors and Maximum Beverage in West Hartford. Finally a craft Beer Celar just opened on the Hartford/West Hartford line on Prospevt Avenue

East of the River people like Kay's in East Hartford, Manchester Wine & Liquors in Manchester and Putnam Plaza Liquors on the Glastonbury/East Hartford border. Also Sonoma in Glastonbury.

I haven't checked out Craft Beer Cellar yet, but the original store in MA is outrageous. I live in Newington, and I think the CT Beverage Mart here is just really solid.

I don't go out much, but The Spigot is a cool place to grab a beer.

Tunxis Grill on the Berlin Tpke in Newington is a delicious restaurant with a big and long bar that always has numerous craft and locals on tap. The bar manager there, Jeff, used to work at Tullycross in Manchester. He certainly knows his stuff and his beer selection for the taps reflects it. It doesn't hurt to give it a visit, especially since I haven't had a bad thing to eat there yet either.

Hey dude used to visit u in Southbury. Now in central CT. Harvest is the way to go. CBC WeHa ain't nothing close to Belmont, Newton, or Waterbury, VT. I have had good luck at Willowbrook in Cromwell, close to work.

Shoot over to Birch Hill in Glastonbury. You won't be disappointed.

Would certainly recommend Eli Cannons in middletown. Cool vibe. Well known place in Middletown that has an outstanding beer selection. Weekends are crazy there. Sometimes a 2 hour wait for a table.
