so I'm sure this has been done but I'd like to garner some insight from the experienced. What do you do to recover from breakages if you sent in a trade singles or doubles of a rare beer? Just a beer that can't be scored again.

I never drink a beer I receive until I hear that my box made it safe. Fortunately the only box I've had that did not arrive was a box I was sending, and expecting nothing in return. I'm working on replacing the items in that box and will just resend it.

Either send the beers you got back or send something to replace it that the recipient is good w/ taking

My thought was to do what gator said, don't even open the box until mine has arrived and cleared. Now I'm dealing with a new issue. Dude sent me a tracking this morning and it still hasn't popped up saying its shipping. Mine however has. I'm new to this and my first few trades were great but now I'm nervous

Talk to the person. Communication is key. I've done hundreds of trades and knock on wood have not had a broken bottle yet. I am a pretty picky about my pack jobs. But it happens and all you can do is communicate and make it right for both sides.
