Oh yeah will be a wild one. Can wait to try SPON. Especially the fruited ones that are coming out later.

    At Jester King this weekend...

On Sunday, November 20th at Noon, we’ll be releasing Wicked Weed / Jester King Red Atrial at our tasting room! Red Atrial is a 50/50 blend of
Wicked Weed Brewing Red Angel with Jester King Atrial Rubicite. Wicked Weed then took the blend and refermented it with another four pounds per barrel of fresh raspberries.

We have 500 bottles of Red Atrial available (500ml/$26) with a limit of one bottle per customer. We’ll also have bottles of Wicked Weed La Bonté Plum, Marina, Oblivion, Dark Age, Old Fashioned, La Bonte Pear, Amorous, and Silencio for sale to go.

Red Atrial will be available by the glass at our tasting room, and we’ll rotate through several other draft beers from Wicked Weed such as La Bonté Plum, Marina, Oblivion, Parking Lot Grisette, Medora, Montmaretto, Dark Age, Old Fashioned, La Bonte Pear, Myrtle, Brettaberry, Garcon de Ferme, and Silencio.

Finally, we’re excited to have Wicked Weed Founder/Head Blender Walt Dickinson at Jester King on Sunday for the event for the release! Please come out, enjoy all the great Wicked Weed beers, and meet Walt!

Correct, it is my opinion. It is also my opinion that the Angels are very one note and that note is sour. Very little if any funk and overly sour to me. I understand and accept that others may appreciate ww sours more than me, but there are also many people that agree with me in the community. As another poster said, BA and Untappd are not the end all be all of beer rankings, and are not consistent because of Homer bias, distribution, "hads" etc. I understand that you love red angel, and I don't dislike it. I just don't like it enough to have it as my profile photo.

I just uploaded the only beer related photo I had on my PC. More than many just happen disagree with your opinion however.

I thought it was good, but not great. Red Angel and Atrial are better by themselves.

Speaking of not great...La Mure Morte. Yikes.

Oh no. What wasn't good about La Mure? I would think a blackberry sour would be friggen delicious.

Well, I'd like to give it a second try by itself, but it was extremely watery, thin, not funky, and just tasted too young. When surrounded by so many other great beers, it wasn't really worth finishing. The other people I was with shared my sentiment. I was sad as I was expecting much better. It's no Framboos or Kiwi, that's for sure.

I would agree about La Mure, my group was extremely disappointed with it compared to the rest of the beers available.

I thought Red Atrial was better than Red Angel (can't comment on Atrial since I've never had it).

So Walt was at JK Sunday and brought 7-8 beers on tap with him.

My buddy who was there got the impression from talking to Walt and Jeff that Jeff may be coming this Saturday. I'm hoping he brings some JK beers with him.

Any speculation on the "special beers on tap"?

Sorry to pile on your question and apologies if I missed it, but does anyone know if they'll have Red Atrial itself on tap as well? It looks like they did at the Jester King release, but haven't seen confirmation that it will be on tap at Wicked Weed on Saturday.

Does this mean no Red Atrial on tap? I'm a little disappointed by the tap list overall. Was hoping for some Jester King beers.

Red Atrial tasted like atrial with more fruit and a tad more wine barrel complexity. def second best wild ale at sourfest, behind ff blackberry still wild ale.
