Searching in the forums it says Central City stamps the cans with the canning date. However the new Red Betty cans had a date of 07/12. I'm pretty sure these cans aren't from the future, does anyone knows the canning date of these?

Maybe March 2012? I've seen a lot of brewers put a 4 month window on their beers...

That was my thinking, it just arrived recently, so it can't be that old.

Ahh....this is the newly renamed Red Racer IPA, eh? 4 months sounds even better now.

I haven't seen the new cans but the old ones used a letter to indicate the month (i.e. A=Jan, B=Feb, etc). Then there were four numbers that were the day and the year.

Ahh, that may have been it. These might actually be quite fresh then. Pricey though, $13.99/six pack.

Yep, they were March 7th. Good to know you can get this stuff fresh now.

This is disappointing news. I just bought some Red Betty online (I know, my first mistake) and received 2 cans today with codes of H2112, which would mean August 21, 2012. Damn, it's over 3 months old already. I thought it was a safe buy because it's a website I keep up on and they just received it in. Effin distributors I would guess. You wouldn't think the brewery would send it out if it was that old. I guess I'll steer clear from buying IPAs online, PERIOD.
