I Love a good IPA. I would drink a Red Hook and I would buy a Red Hook (if only IPA option) but I would never seek it out...never.

Where in EWA are you? Down here in Walla Walla we have a couple of great breweries doing German/American style beers and Belgian inspired beers. The Burwood pale is a great beer but only available on draft right now.

I would definitely recommend Bale Breaker & Fremont, but having only enjoyed their IPAs, seek out their pales for a more malt-balanced, smoother start. No reason to foresake fresher, quality craft options in your area...until you find your wheelhouse brew. Even if it ends up being a less-crafty option.

    You know, I bought a 12pack a few months ago. I get it's early hype...it was a lot better than you'd think.

Off the top of my head I would take Longhammer over CCB's Jai Alai... sue me.

Red Hook is the Ford Festiva of IPAs. It works in a pinch but you can do SO much better

Red Hook's Long Hammer IPA was one of the first craft beers that made me realize how good beer could be. This was about 10 years ago back in college. Haven't had it in awhile but, yes, there are far better IPA's out there. That said, I remember it being a nicer IPA than the 74 rating here on BA would lead one to believe. Cheers!
