Of course it's not okay to stiff someone, but it also justify going beyond the forums or a Twitter account and messing with someone's work or business. If that's the case, then just start allowing the posting personal information.

Yeah I get what you mean and I 100% agree, it's fk'd up to mess with someones lively hood just out of spite and retaliation.

There are better ways to go about it. I hope that didn't really happen to the man.

That email was copied directly from my email inbox and had the general corporate email CC'd on it....meaning everyone in the company just received an email which falsely accused me of being a thief.

I do want to point out that I haven't received a box from anyone. While I do have the obligation to send beer to the people who won in fantasy sports league, please at least understand that these individuals aren't "out" anything. Not to defend my delay, in order for there to be a "theft," one's personal property must be stolen.

Kyle and I are really tight. I don't condone his tardiness, but I know for a fact that he wasn't trying to stiff anyone with any malicious intent. I can personally attest to his generosity, so if anyone is unhappy with what they receive from him (which won't happen), message me and we'll work something out together.

Now, as for the e-mail quoted above, that's got to be one of the shittiest things I've ever read in my life. Yes, my friend fell behind with shipping and made some unfulfilled commitments, but to threaten his livelihood, to threaten the livelihood of his company is just outrageous. I texted him thirty minutes after this thread was posted and he responded eight hours after that with apologies and promises to send more than he was originally responsible for, which I've already said I'll back with my own cellar if need be.

What a terrible, terrible thing to write to someone.

That's a very good point. No one was stolen from in this case. My rant had everything to do with people saying "it's just beer". I'm glad to see you active on this thread trying to make it right and not making excuses.

Thanks for responding and offering extras from your cellar to make this right - look forward to whatever you send.

And although I didn't send Kyle a box in the BIF league - I believe it should be mentioned I did have to send one of the other guys that won a box of amazing beer.

So no one should accuse you of theft - just paying your league dues, just like the rest of us had to.

    Cheers and again thanks!

After reading all this. ..I will always make sure to keep the lines of communication open, especially if I am for whatever reason promising things and unable to keep my word. I don't think it's right to go 0-100 over this but I don't know how strangers will react, people have issues sometimes. Reminds me of a movie line from another guy who had issues and tried to get real without thinking of the possible results of his actions "do you see what happens when you f a stranger in the aps Larry? " this situation sucks no matter how I slice it and it wish there was something that could be done to fix it. I don't think it was right to attack kylelenk to the extent he was attacked. We are a community and there are risks involved..ares unsatisfying as it may be I think the worse thing that should have happened if he didn't come through in the end was to cast him out the community. His friend contacted him..but still 0-100? Dang. Just my 2 cents

Kyle Sent us all messages and he is shipping out tomorrow. I will post when things are received but it seems Kyle is taking the proper steps to resolve things.

Wow. I have no idea? That's a pretty crappy thing to do whoever sent that to his email. It's not the end of the world missing a box and at least on my end there was more of a concern over health / well being as I have been talking with @JamesShoemaker and he told me that Kyle was traveling for work and had food poisoning etc. That really sucks whoever did that, I am sorry to hear that Kyle

That's f'ing stupid. Who would even contact someone's work over a beer, especially one that wasn't a trade where we were out anything.

No I do agree with this. There was some communication, but it went from, hey been busy, hey box is coming, to nothing until this thread was posted. So yes, lack of communication is a problem. I wonder if this wasn't posted, would we still be waiting to hear back from Kyle or would he have got on tonight and said hey boxes are coming tomorrow?

It is also really shitty to go and email a person's work place about something this trivial. That is definitely an overstep of boundaries, especially since there has been some communication from Kyle. I could see if this was on going for half a year or so and no communications then maybe someone being really pissed off and doing that (still though, I don't know if I would ever do that) but that wasn't the case here.

The post to the work email was not right and certainly wasn't me. I'd need to be out a lot more that beer before I did that. As Kyle has said, he had been in contact with me and I believe he will fulfill his commitment.

I'm glad this got worked out, but I'm still troubled with the "No one was out any beer on this" argument. When those people won the fantasy league, that beer was their winnings, and thus their property.

Its like anteing up for a card game, losing, and then trying to take the ante back, arguing that you didn't steal from the house because they didn't lose any of their own money. When you lost, that ante BECAME their money. Same with the beer here.

Just nitpicking at this point, but people don't seem to take these beer bets/leagues as seriously as trading, and I think they should.

Thats it. Old man strong. Hope everyone gets their beer and gets happy.
