Redeemed Trader: Pizzapie?

Anyways , my initial first comment was just attesting to packaging. I already messaged him saying it will be shipped tomorrow.

 

At this point, in the past it is about 50/50 whether it gets shipped or not IIRC. What do you all think now that this thread has run its course? Pizzapie actually sends and all is well? Pizzapie disappears and OP doesn't get his beer?

 

Bad trader either way, this post served it's purpose.

 

I sure as hell would not leave positive feedback. Either way, like Vivified said, this post has served its purpose. As long as it stays here, this guy is searchable.

 

Either you have a major problem with basic decency and communication or you're baiting the community.

If it's the latter, you're doing it wrong and it is not going unnoticed.

Ship your box. You're the one in the wrong here.

Everyone else is just trying to help make the OP whole. If you can't manage to do your part, I have no doubt the community will.

And if it comes to that, your part on this site is finished.

 

It's shipping tomorrow. My shipping comment was alluding to the fact that this may have been his first breakage due to the distance.

 

@BrownAleMale everyone posting here agrees that you are owed your beer & that Pizzapie's delays & excuses are bogus.

However, everyone is also in agreement that your packing appears to be substandard. The comments & about this are no more than constructive criticism & helpful advice. Lynch mob??? Seriously? You need to learn to react more reasonably rather than leaping to conclusions, making unsubstantiated accusations & resorting to juvenile name calling. I sincerely hope you get the beer you are owed, but sheeeesh. People posting here are not your enemy.

 

The two day thing is pretty awesome. I shipped a trader 3 King Sues in a medium flat rate box because he needed them ASAP for a share. Fed Ex/UPS wouldn't have made it by the weekend (Saturday share), but USPS got it there Friday. BUT.. I told him if he wanted to get them in time I would have to ship USPS, he agreed, and we decided to take that plunge together.

 

That's a good point, I usually inform the other trader if using USPS as well. And 3 bombers is pretty much the limit in my opinion, although I have fit 64oz growlers without issue.

 

Just to put a counter argument to your friend working at the post office: I worked at USPS HQ for 7 years, and at another postal HQ in another country for a year and a half (with very similar standards and shipping methods). Doing data analysis work for the logistics area (i.e. getting mail from one part of the country to another). I maaaay have been to a sorting plant or two in my day. That $50 free insurance was to try and compete with the free $100 insurance that UPS and FedEx offers. It didn't change how they operate (because honestly they don't break packages all that often to start with, just like UPS and FedEx). Also, if you try and collect on insurance for alcohol, and they actually figure out its alcohol, there's no way you're getting paid.

 

So did it ship?

I agree completely. Could have disappeared and called the whole thing a loss but even the one word answers are better than that. I'm sure it sucks having all of this out there but to keep coming back says something. Looking forward to hearing confirmation from the OP that this is all set and hopefully all is well going forward. Cheers!
