Said it was brewed on September 30th 2014. Just buying it today. I figured it would keep well (dark refrigeration) due to it being a dark winter ale. Do they age it or hold onto it for a couple months though? Or was this just late to sale? Any personal experiences?

FWIW, I haven't really seen it oot and aboot yet this season. Hence former question. Perhaps I just missed it.

I've never had a Red Hook beer I thought was particularly pleasant, and at 6% ABV, it probably doesn't have much to hold up to.

It'll be just as mediocre in 3 years as it is today. After that, it'll start to go downhill.
