    Howdy,

First post ever and fairly new to the site. I am in Houston and I'm looking for new good red ales and lagers. That is my proverbial cup of tea.

    Any ideas?

I know there are a lot of reds in North Texas but I don't know of any in Houston.

But I will say you may also want to look into some ESBs. Most I know are more caramelly or toasty like Red Ales.
I think Eureka Heights may have something in this vein.

I would not necessarily say that Holler ESB would be what you're looking for but you may like it. It is very hop forward but uses a popular English hop instead of the popular American hops.

Community Beer Company may distribute down to Houston and their Public ESB would probably be a good option for you.

I think Saint Arnold still has their Amber Ale. There is a lot of overlap in Amber and Red Ales if they aren't outright the same thing.
