For me it's the old reliable - Guinness - especially this time of year

Is it $10 for a sixer?

Day time drinking for me, at least in the spring/summer/fall, is about saisons or pale ales, preferably Hill Farmstead offerings on both counts.

So many beers to mention, but Victory Headwaters and Yards Philly Pale Ale are beers that I frequently have on hand at all times.

Yea sadly. I could do $8.99 like the New Dogtown, IPA, and Pils but DayTime @ $10.49 doesn't seem worth it. I wish I could get HF a little easier, quite the drive from Portland.

Really? $1.50 is enough to keep you buying a six pack of a beer you like?

Ya I bought a single of Daytime, thought it was average at best... Nice hop charachter on the nose but nothin in the flavor, I can get Pales around that abv with way more flavor.

That being said I would have grabbed a six of it had it not been priced the same as Maximus and Sumpin Sumpin, While Dogtown and there IPA were 1.50 cheaper... This pricing just makes no sense to me.

You wouldn't be saying this if you had tried mild with food. Particularly spicy food  Knocks spots off lagers, romps and stomps all over them and pats the ground down flat on top of them.

I'm sold! Next time I'm out of Eliot Ness, I'll try to find a couple of nice milds to pick up instead. Any suggestions of specific beers I should be able to find?

Not a clue because I don't know what's available there. Most of the mild I drink is from very small local breweries. But Moorhouses Black Cat and Elgoods Black Dog might be around though in bottled form they aren't at their best.

Yeah, what marquis said. They are not a lot of Milds around, fewer that get widely distributed. Black Cat is worth seeking out. If you get Two Brothers, you might be able to get their Dark Mild though I see the last review was in August.(it's a one off)

Cains Dark Mild has decent distribution and Goose Island has a Christmas Dark Mild that has a lot of reviews but at 5.6%abv, it's too strong to be a proper Dark Mild, imho.

For a Sixpoint brew, I'd go with The Crisp.

FFF Gumballhead. Also agree with the Oktoberfest style as well. I find myself drinking a Newcastle from time to time as well and that usually is pretty refreshing.
