Oh, hell (I'm such an idiot). I just looked at your profile and realized where you are. No wonder you are suggesting milds. You have REAL PUBS where you can get actual cask ale. I do like to try various British beers from time to time, but obviously they are just not the same thing when bottled. Still, I will do a little research and see if I can find a halfway decent bottled mild. You have definitely piqued my interest to try it with food.

in an ideal world, pretty much anything from Stoudt's Brewing Co - the helles and the pils in particular. maybe a good O-fest. but you're nailing it already with prima pils IMO

That isn't the distributor's fault. I think that is what I payed for it. I think the cheapest I saw it for was $9.99.
Daytime is much better than those other beers. So I was willing to pay the extra $1.50 for a better beer. I have trouble paying $8.99 for those other beers.

if i am drinking all day, i am probably at some function that will be outside, such as golfing, tailgating for football, or a softball tournament with my friends. in these cases, i pack a cooler full of different kinds of beer, as long as they are not stouts/porters. i tend to steer toward cans for recycling and for garbage purposes, but my goto would be SNPA. I traded for some surly Wet and Furious when the gators played South Carolina and drank those all day at the tailgate. For friends, i will buy a 12er of Miller Lite or some sort of macro lager they drink. if i have a few of my craft beers, i have been known to shotgun a miller lite before going into the game.

For what it is yea, but I'm still not super impressed with it. Compared to some other low ABV beers I've had it hold up but I wasn't blown away by it. I actually prefer the Prima Pils or a Bitburger over it. Lagunitas has not disappointed me since it hit Maine, but DayTime isn't anything I'll be buying again in the near future. I wish we got All Day IPA out here, but I fear we won't see it till next season.
